REMEMBERING LEROI MOORE
On behalf of the band, our thoughts and prayers go
to the family, fans and freinds of Leroi Moore, of the Dave Matthews Band who passed this last Tuesday afternoon. Leroi has been
an inspiration to all of us through his music and will always be in our hearts, echoing through our souls via sweet woodwind
arrangements, and his silhuette sticking in our minds, stage-left. Though I've never had the opportunity to meet the
man, his music speaks from his heart, and I could politely say, we've had numerous conversations, and will continue to do
so through his records as a part of the DMB, and not to mention, the Code Magenta album, which I've blasted since 1999...
On Wednesday's gig at Owsley's I stuck in an acoustic version of The Maker
by Daniel Lanois...tears were most definitely shed. We'll be dedicating our next gigs to Leroi, we'll miss you, man.

BOBBY DORAN BAND - LIVE: MILES HIGH | SATELLITE
DISCO
Thanks to everyone who made the Progressive Motion
Presents: Battle of the Bands an awesome time. Phil Jensen has really come into his own and added a new flavor to the live
show with his shredding abilities! A special thank you goes out to all our friends who have supported us at all our shows,
you all keep us going strong. Our next Bobby Doran Band gig is at OUR BAR in Colorado Springs on July
26th. It's a great night to have a place just to have a sweet party with no cover. We'll be starting at 8pm, see
you there!
We've all been working diligently on the new
full-band project: Satellite Disco, I'll try my best to keep everything up to date in the JOURNAL, as well as
some YOUTUBE vids, and MYSPACE community action.
A tentative date has been set for November to throw
a huge party and have some of our favorite local bands to join us for the premiere of the new band. The purpose and virtual
idea of this project is to take the songs we've been pushing as the Bobby Doran Band, and also take some killer songs that
could never see the light of day as a 3-4 piece, acoustic act. Believe me...these songs rock, and fit anywhere from the indie/pop/acoustic-rock
sound you've been used to for so long, but throwing in more danceable tunes from heavy, rhythm section-driven rock, with a
progressive flair, to hip-hop, blues and jazz. Satellite Disco flyers will be available in the print shop, plus some merch
to hand out at our coming shows.
Start spreading the good word and help us make the
upcoming concert one of the coolest events of the year! Thanks friends!

Tickets are
for sale for the Friday, May 23rd, Tequila Mockingbird show at the Toad Tavern. After
the last turnout at the Toad, we're all really excited to get back on their new stage...it's pretty awesome over there since
the remodeling! We've got a later slot this time...woohoo, but of course they're really counting on us to bring the same amount,
if not many more heads into the door! Go to www.ticketswest.com for advanced tickets, otherwise it's a cool $6 dollar
cover charge at the door. Sorry kids...all shows at The Toad Tavern are still 21+. We've got some new music we'll be
playing, and our good friend Phil Jensen (www.philjensen.com) will be joining us this time with his electric guitar

We'll also be doing 'Dream of Love' for the second time at the Toad, plus a few more surprises...haha...'Burn' is another
newer/more new tune I'll be ripping my far less than John Popper, harmonica skills. Don't miss EBWA
and Trailor Park Playboys, starting at 8pm. You gotta check it out...details are here.
Territory Days is coming up in Old Colorado City, May 24th. We'll be up on the big

bull. Later on that night we're over at McCabe's on Tejon St. @ 10pm, 21+. Parking is limited. P.S. Come to the Toad Show!
only $6 and plenty of specials.
I love New York! I met some great people on my trip, and played 4-5 times. Thanks
Julia at Arlene's, Rick from Paddy's, and Charlie from the Back Fence for fitting me into their bills. Check out Jukebox
the Ghost, Sandy Stones, Liz Tormes, Nate Awesome, Wasted Saturday, Lucky Day, and The Last Call...great music! It was
an amazing experience. You get used to dodging yellow machines after a day or two, and I only saw one rat...it jumped in front
of the 6-train...
See you all next weekend!

Sup,
Some cool shows are coming up, and it'd be great to
keep the ball rolling with all the great support we've been receiving lately! The Toad show was an unbelievable time,
thank you to all our friends at the Toad, Mark from the Trampolines, Rubber Planet, and Oppenheimer (I'm still rockin' out
to their CD), plus another HUGE thank you to all of our good friends who came out to party like rockstars. I just got word
that we got into the 2008 Territory Days Festival, of course with a little help from KKFM radio, in Colorado Springs.
Keep a steady eye on the site for the details.
As for upcoming gigs,
Sunnie from Menege A Deux was gracious enough to ask us to fill in as an opener for their All Ages, Rock N' Soul show on Saturday,
April 19th in Boulder. The Skylark Lounge is a pretty cool venue we'll be jamming in on May 1st, the details for
that one will be posted ASAP. Thanks again for the support, the help with promoting, especially our new street team
friends. If I could list everyone on here, I probably will on the Special Thanks page!
The new collection
of music is coming along nicely, some cool new tunes that I'm excited about, look for them at the shows!
Thanks and keep listening
to Soulja Boy. Yiggity, yiggity-Yaaaaaah...

3/5/08 Some finishing touches are being made to the new E.P., a release date is set for the Spring, which seems only
minutes away...The E.P. will be up on Itunes, as well as Rhapsody. Meanwhile, the new tracks are on their way
to a ton of college radio stations. I'll have them on the 'RADIO' page in the coming weeks, along with the on-air request lines. Also, national, Clear Channel radio requests that all new
artists generate plays on 'NEW!', The links are here and growing, so click away. The more 'NEW!' player hits, the greater the possibility of on-air radio play.

Hello friends,
I was lucky
enough to be picked as one of this weeks Featured Artists on www.cyqo.com, and also gete featured on their Podcast, along with a few other
great bands. Thank you to Mike and everyone else over at Cyqo. It's great support and exposure! Listen to the podcast.
If you haven't
checked out www.cyqo.com yet, it's a great site to hear independent artists, and meet new people.
Similar to Myspace, Cyqo is an artist/fan site for anything music related.
More news...I've just
added a live cut of 'SOUL MACHINE' to my profile, it's one of my favorite new songs to play, have a listen. Thank you to all
of my good friends and family for their continuing support!
Kids, be sure to wear
bright clothing and bring a flashlight. Beware of drivers while out hearting, Have a Happy Corporate Holiday!!

A few more updates have been made to the website, including the
new, print shop, plus a few news, tour, lyric, and image updates. There was a small glitch with the listening booth music
players, all due to our file hosting site being hacked into by these Elite Sub-Arctic Ninja World Wide Web Warrior Internet
Computer Terrorist Hackers. E.S.A.N.W.W.W.W.I.C.T.H. for short. I guess they're like 'Call of Duty' / 'Warcraft' / 'GoldenEye'
/ 'SOCOM 3' trained Al-Qaeda guys, or something. At any rate, the website is running smoothly now, just be aware that these
mercenaries are out there, probably some Decepticons (TM) too, and nothing is safe. In the case the music players kick
the bucket again, it'll take a day or two to get them back online.
Speaking of the PRINT SHOP, just click on the link, and check it out. The flyers and posters are for the upcoming February 7th show at Rock N' Soul Cafe, in Boulder, all there for your promoting pleasure. Print the posters out, make some copies, post them everywhere, hand out
flyers to your friends and random people you walk by on the street, stick them under windshield wipers, staple a dollar to
a few of them and give a bum an added bonus, give black and white copies to your kids, so they learn to color,
draw moustaches and balls on them, use them as kindling cause it's cold out, paper airplanes, spit-balls, stick them on the
end of a Swiffer...you get the point, just recycle.

1/1/08 Happy 2008
First off, I'd like to give a huge thank
you to my friends and family, your love and support keeps me on my feet when times are tough, through the good, the bad, and
the plain ugly. You give me strength when I feel like I have none left, and that's more important to me than anything.
You all, very well know who you are, and I thank you from the deepest part of my heart for believing in me.
As you probably notice by now, the website
is boiling over with new toys. Hang out and enjoy your time here. Listen to new and old music in the 'Listening Booth', read
along on the lyrics pages, there will be a test at the end of the semester. Have a sense of style! Do some post-xmas shopping
in my music store. For all you computer nerds, just keep a bobbydoran.com music player running while you're glued to
myspace... or if you're a recovering textaholic!
2007
was a real rollercoaster, as if I never used the expression before, this time there was no seatbelt, and the carnie in charge
was in and out of consciousness. Go Patri-its, Red Saucks, Celticks...and the Bruins......dammit Bruins
12/14/07 Holiday Cheer: "Twas a week, or so before Christmas,
and I thought I'd blog about some Holiday postcard ideas. This one really got me into the holiday spirit...Head over to your
local thrift store and find the ugliest, most disgusting looking Christmas sweaters, possibly the ones with Christmas trees,
sleigh bells, and cotton, Santa beard glued onto them. Now, after you've chosen the *perfect sweaters (*perfect means
Bill Cosby wouldn't even wear it) start looking for some sweet Santa/elf hats. Christmas is notorious for singing "press here"
apparel, if you find a tie, or a pair of long underwear that sings 'good tidings', you've hit the jackpot. Ok, you've
got yourself some killer Christmas gear, now it's time to head to the local liquor retailer. Now, if you haven't
figured it out yet, we're making Christmas cards to mail out. Anyway, back to the LQ, for some props...keep in mind,
the beer you choose is only for effect, so go with some MGD, or Beer 30. Next, get the fireplace ready, set the timer on the
camera, crack open a warm beer, squeeze together and make this Christmas moment last forever.
HAPPY HOLIDAYS!

10/2/07 I talked to my Dad yesterday,
he gave me some great advice, and I figured why not tell the universe!
DAD: "You need to hook up with Britney
Spears, or Paris Hilton, so I can retire. Do you think you can handle the Paparazzi and flash-bulbs going off in your face?"
Well...I'd love it if you could retire
soon, maybe one day I could break into the house for my memorabilia, but I'd like to bypass the whole hooking up with Britney
thing, although K-Fed probably wouldn't mind. How would Mom and the grandparents handle the whole videotape scandal?

of the Poisonous, Peanut-flavored, Lung-Butter"
Book of Creamy Jif - 3:16, Chapter Eight,
Doth Epilogue, Ye Cliff Notes, Soliloquy
[ENTER] ME & GUILDENSTERN'S POISONOUS
PEANUT BUTTER
To eat poisonous peanut butter, or not
to eat poisonous peanut butter--that is the question:
Whether 'tis nobler in the mind to suffer
The dizziness and discomfort of four season
old creamy Jif
Or to take arms against a sea of bananas
And by opposing eat them. To pass out,
to hallucinate--
Throw up--and by hallucination to say we
see
Tiny Christmas elves, dressed as Elvis,
singing 'My Humps'
That flesh is heir to. 'Tis a consummation
Devoutly to be wished. To puke, to hallucinate--
To halucinate--perchance to dream: ay,
there's the rub,
For in that hallucination of mini-Elvis
where shall I awaken?
When we have puken up this infectious peanut
butter,
Must give us pause. There's the respect
That makes calamity of so long life.
For who would bear the Peter Pan brand,
Th'
crunchy kind, jelly, or jam, peanut-butter contumely,
The pangs...blahith, blahith, blahith...
Mel Gibson with a bare bodkin? Who would
fardels bear,
To grunt and doth sweat under a sturdy
toilet,
But that the dread of something after death,
The
undiscovered peanut butter, just off the shelf, not the green-blue kind
From whose bourn, no traveler returns,
puzzles the will,
And makes us rather bear those jars we
have
Than fly to others that we know not of?
Thus conscience does make cowards of us
all,
And thus the native hue of resolution
Is sicklied o'er with the pale cast of
thought,
And enterprise of great pitch and moment
With this regard their currents turn awry
And lose the name of action. -- Soft you
now, hallucinagenic peanut-flavored ecstasy,
Doth Peanut Butter! -- Nymph, in thy orisons
Be
all my sins remembered.

"Albertacos Strikes Back"
I'm still waiting patiently for the day
Mark Summers comes into town and does the long awaited, Food TV story on none other than the infamous Albertacos: The taste
sensation that's sweeping the nation. There's nothing like pulling up to good 'ol Alby's at 2am, wife-beater wearing, drunk
high-school kids hanging out in the parking lot, always on the verge of a good brawl, or a cat fight. Open the door...entrar...you're
inside. Hmm...what sounds good? A breakfast burrito? No...maybe soft chicken tacos? Now don't worry about your skills as a
linguist, I have 3 years of high-school Spanish under my belt, and still have some trouble with the ordering process. I've
found, the more times I need to repeat my order, the more fun. It's all part of the experience, right! I just can't help,
but think if I do brush up on my Spanish and actually translate burrito and dos tacos correctly, maybe I'll be on the receiving
end of some taco flavored kisses from the cashier, who knows...
I don't know if they have a slogan, but
here are a few ideas that they may have to look into.
Albertacos:
"Clogging toilets since 1978"
"Would you like Tums with that?"
"I'm lovin' it--whoa...my stomach feels
funny, all of a sudden"
"You MUST be wasted"
"Proud sponsor of--oh crap, I just sharted,
my bad"
"30% off plumbing with the purchase of
3, or more enchiladas"
"Your way, right away, or at least a few
minutes from now...the banos are that way"
"Like taco flavored kisses"
Okay, I think I pushed it a little bit.

8/23/07 Upcoming Live Band CD: Available
this Fall
Bobby Doran & Friends: Recorded from
various band performances, including live tracks from The Toad Tavern, Buffalo Rose, Cervantes Masterpiece Ballroom, and more.
The acoustic trio features Bob Jones (Percussion/Vocals), Kris Moeller (Rhythm guitars/Bass), and myself (Vocals/Guitars/Effects).
If you have enjoyed the past, solo shows,
pick up a copy. The CD will feature some high-energy, live takes on favorites, such as "95", "Sunrise", "Everything I've
Ever Wanted" and "Lucky", as well as more recent songs: a killer version of "Punch Drunk Love", "Satellite", "Get Up, Get
Out", "Cigarette Blues", "Bearer of Bad News", "Symphony of the Werewolf" (intro to Sunrise), and a solo, loop version of
"Santa Fe", a new fan favorite.
Get geared up for more trio gigs, as well
as some full band performances, coming soon!
8/19/07 A
special thanks goes out to Todd Byers over at the 16th Street Rockbottom, as well as the sound crew and other acts, for putting
together such a great concert on Friday, and for giving my band the opportunity to play for so many people, on such a cool
stage. I thought looking out over an endless sea of people standing there, dancing, enjoying our set, was much more rewarding
than actually winning, which was a great surprise.
Keep an eye on the site for more dates, and
full band gigs, coming soon!
Thanks again to all of our good friends,
who came out to have a good time and show their support. I love you all.

7/31/07 It's about time I shook the
dust off of this journal and take a little break from my MySpace blogging endeavors!
The Miles High music festival was an awesome
time. Aside from being sandwiched between screamo bands, we had some fun seeing some old faces, and rocking out in the mosh
pit. A special thanks goes out to Chris at Miles High Productions for putting on such a sweet event.
If you haven't come out to a show in a
while, check us out!
12/1/06 HAPPY HOLIDAYS!
A special thanks to everyone who made this
year a memorable one. It was a great experience to be out on the road, and having the opportunity to meet, and share
my music with so many new faces, from Rhode Island, to Boston, New York, Chicago, Colorado, Las Vegas, San Diego, Nebraska,
New Mexico, and Texas. I can't wait for the next time.
More
dates are already set for December, all the way through March. Keep an eye on the Tour Calendar
for more shows coming up in your area. Thanks to all my friends and family for your love and support.
Happy
Holidays!
10/29/06 To do list...
-Beware of wild Texas Cougars!
-Have a listen to one of my new favorite
albums, 'Dog Problems' by "The Format".
-When on tour, make sure your motel isn't
a crack house. If it is a crack house, don't get a room next to the head crack dealer / prostitute.
-Don't stay at the Western Inn, north of
Houston
-Also, don't get out of your car at 3am to
get gas there either, scary people will come out of nowhere and ask you weird questions.
-Bring fun puzzles and entertainment for
Texas driving.
10/22/06 I guess 40 dollars is a good
deal for a room at the Santa Fe Econo Lodge, but somehow I'm starting to think if I made a pillow from spare clothes on
the passenger seat of my car and passed out with the emergency brake digging into my ribs, with high hopes no homeless
people would come tapping on my window at 2am, looking for spare change...at least my neck wouldn't feel like I
made a swan dive into an empty swimming pool!
The support this far along on the tour has
been greater than I could've ever expected. It's only been about 4 days, and already I've sold close to 100 CDs. Most people
have bought all three of them which means so much. I'm off to Texas...to play some music, visit the windmill museum, count
John Deere tractors...

10/14/06 The Pikes Perk show was a
great time, a special thanks to Lauren Joy and her fans for coming in and making the evening a memorable one. The Perk has
always been a great venue, a thousand thank yous to the staff for keeping all their shows free, intimate, and most of all
letting me turn off all the lights and crank it up to ELEVEN!
I had the chance to finally road test some
new equipment to hopefully spice up some old tunes, and rock out some new ones. I did more looping last night than I have
in quite some time, throwing in new versions of 'Lucky', '95', 'Get Up, Get Out' and 'Sunrise'. Plus I had the chance to mess
with some brand new ones and sorta new ones: 'Brand New Day', 'Final Wish', 'Elly Kedward', and everyone's new favorite, "Santa
Fe". The lone cover song of the night was a take on 'With Or Without You' by U2, played for the first time. Keep an eye on
the "Live Setup / Rig" section of the site, under "Extras" for a new picture of my new rig, coming soon.
Thanks again for another unforgetable time,
be sure to check out Lauren Joy at laurenjoymusic.com, she'll be tearing it up in Ft. Collins, so check her out!
10/5/06 Welcome to the new site!
The summer flew by, I can't wait to get
back on the road in a few weeks. It's been some hard work and some long hours, but well worth it. I've got some driving ahead
of me between now and February. Thanks to all my friends across the country that have done so much to help me get this tour
together, most of all to my fans and friends who have shown their support!
Keep an eye on the tour schedule.
5/9/06 Hello children, It was brought to my attention I had written about the "creepy
Red Robin" that prances around the Red Robin restaurant in an earlier journal entry on bobbydoran.com. Maybe it's just a ploy
to increase turnaround time on busy nights for the restaurant, or maybe they really think that children aren't scared to death
of it. To be honest, whoever is in that costume makes me nervous...kinda like that picture of Micheal Jackson that was posted
on my comments a few weeks ago.
Last week I recieved an email from a girl
that used to be roommates with a "Red Robin". She went on to tell me that her roommate was actually quite attractive and cool
too. I guess you never really know who's behind the mask, it could be some creepy elephant man that makes balloon animals
for kids birthday parties, and plays santa claus, the easter bunny, and most likely works as a circus or mall parking
lot carnival carny, that presses the big, red button all day to start the carousel, or the booze-smelling, bearded
guy that breathes on you while he pushes down the safety bar into your groin. OK (well that's what runs through my head
when that big red monster is making it's way to my table with its blank stare and white gloves)
But, you know after hearing about the roommate,
part of me thinks the Red Robin could be some hot model, or stripper, maybe a desparate single mom without table waiting
skills. The light bulb went off in my head, and I have devised a system on first making sure the Red Robin is female, then
trying to figure out if she is hot.
First, take a look at the leatard. Unshaven
legs are a dead giveaway. Second....hmmmm....I guess you could always try some Red Robin pick-up lines...............
Ok, I know, you don't have to tell me. I
am sick and I need help! FAST!
Maybe on my next blind date I will
be waking up with the Burger King
2/1/06 What's up everyone! As I wrote in the 'News' page, I've been enjoying some time at
home with the fam, in lovely Rhode Island. I wrote a ton of brand new music for the next CD that I tried to take to the
next level. I am dying to play them live. Most of the songs are more 'band' oriented, but I'm sure they will fly acoustic,
with some bongos, or with a little looping. Most of the time when I write, I start with a riff that i think is catchy, then
try to find a cool melody to sing, then I'll write words that don't make sense until I find an idea to build off of (some
of those older songs still don't make any sense, haha) This time around, I tried starting with an idea, or a title, and I
would build off of that. 30+ songs later, I'm pretty happy of the outcome.
Here's the teaser...There are a few of
the typical 'love song' songwriter songs like "The Last Empty Page", "Daisy" and "Clever Girl",
with some heavy, pissed off songs with "Shell of An Hourglass", "Elly Kedward" (which was inspired
by the 'Blair Witch' legend), and "Generation Come Together". A couple sweet, slow tunes in "Please Come
Home", and "Lovers Lane", and a few upbeat 'You're So Innocent'-like songs, "Punch-Drunk Love",
"Yield", and "Mrs. Bearer of Bad News". Also keep an eye out for a high-school stories song called
"Seventeen". Plus, I was bored and wrote a rap/hip-hop song called "Fret Bored" or "Get Bored" (I've been
singing both in the chorus). I'm sure I'll fit all the new stuff into the set lists in the 2-3 Colorado gigs. Can't wait.
So...it'll be a long drive across the country
in the next month, hopefully we'll find a detour, so we won't have to drive through Kansas, or Nebraska, or the Dakotas...fat
chance.
I'll see you all soon, especially all my
good friends in Colorado!
10/18/05 It's 2AM...Why am I not asleep
yet??????
It's Monday...actually Tuesday now, why
am I wired?
Usually I can put on a movie, set the sleep
timer on the TV, and just fall right asleep, but no. I tossed and turned about 72 times and decided to play on the computer
for a while, maybe write a song. I'll call it 'Insomnia'. There's just a few movies I thought I was sure to fall asleep to.
'Castaway', 'Slap Shot', 'The Doors', 'U.S. Marshals', 'Star Wars: Episode I', 'Training Day', 'Goodfellas'. I made it about
an hour and a half through 'Training Day', then I couldn't take it anymore. I bet I could fall asleep to one of those sappy
Julia Roberts movies if I had one. I heard 'The Notebook' was another snoozer.
Anyway...I looks like I'm up for a while,
hanging out on my roommate, Corey's (A.K.A. C-Dizzle) computer. Dan Ackroyd, and Chevy Chase in 'Spies Like Us' playing in
the background (gotta love the cameo by Bob Hope playing golf in the middle of the desert)...me typing away aimlessly. Why
not give a vivid description of my surroundings...Corey has lots of posters. Ahh, we begin with a beautiful photograph: The
Pyramids of Giza, Egypt, then, to the right, a Patrick Roy poster, Metallica poster. Then on the next wall, we have Outkast,
with some ho's and a Cadillac. Let's move on to the keg-stand poster...hey!? Where'd the 'Hauling Ass' poster go?? You know,
the one with the big booty girls in the back of the pickup truck? Yep, Corey's room is pretty pimped out.
I would seriously recommend writing a journal
entry when you can't sleep, the most random things in the world will come out.
Let's see...what can I say about what's
going on in the fabulous life of billionaire playboy, Bobby D.? No, I'm not rubbing elbows with Mel Gibson, Paris Hilton.
Not going on yachting adventures with George Cloony. I had plans to hang out with Bruce Wayne, but something came up
and I had to settle for Adam West, which was very intriguing, I must say. I knew I should've accepted that invitation
to dinner with Sir Paul McCartney and Sir Elton John, you know, before that knighting ceremony that I had to turn down.
In all reality, today I put up some flyers
for Friday's show, then ended up meeting up with an old friend of mine this afternoon for a few games of pool and a beer.
I think she let me win, because she's usually schools everyone. I can honestly say, that I've never seen a girl that could
actually get down holding the pool cue, let alone run the table. She could be a hustler (not the magazine, umm...actually,
okay, I'm really not sure). If pool was decided on how many times you could hit the cue ball off the table, I would be champion
of the world.
Oh yes, and Craig's mom...I enjoyed a lovely
dinner with Craig's mom, and her husband, Barry at Red Robin. Ragin' Cajun Chicken Sandwich...delish! It's nice to go
there when the idiot in the big red robin costume isn't there to come to your table and creep you out. Speaking of people
in scary costumes, yeah, I had to go there sooner or later...I get more freaked out by giant cartoon characters than anything
else. If Mickey Mouse (all rights reserved) came to my door right now, I would crap my pants, then pee my pants, then pass
out in it. If I was in a dark alley, turned a corner and bumped into Chuckie Cheese, I would probably scream like Kevin
in 'Home Alone'. (think about these horrifying images when you are looking for a Halloween costume). And clowns...FORGET
IT!!!
Okay, now it's 3AM, between typing and
watching 'Spies Like Us' I think I'm finally getting a little tired here. See you all soon, hopefully at the next show.
~ Peace, out ~
ZZzzzzz...
10/3/05 It's been quite some time
since the last journal entry. You know how bad I left leaving everyone hanging on the season finale. To tell you the
truth...tuna is actually really tasty with French's Spicy Mustard. I like to keep my body guessing...don't you?
It's been a rough one since August, I think
my little gray pathfinder has had enough of me. It made a point to take me two hours away to Fort Collins, then decide not
to start at 2am after a show up at Mugg's. Then whenever I would turn the key, it would just make a bunch of funny video game
noises just to mock me, or something. All the drunk people that tried to help jump it had me convinced that I had to put in
a new alternator. They even tried to push start it for me, until they made it about 50 feet and realized that it was an automatic
transmission.
You'd think since my dad knows just about
everything about automobiles, I would at least remember which side of the gas pumps I need to pull beside to pump gas...Sometimes
I still shut my car off, unbuckle my seat belt, get out, remove nozzle, select grade, only to turn around and realize I
pulled on the wrong side. It really grinds my gears to know that it takes me $50 to fill up my tank, and the gas station can't
make the hose long enough to go all the way around my car!
Anyway.... fortunately, I got paid enough
money at the gig to be able to get fixed whatever needed to be fixed...ironically, now it's Sunday, there are no banks open.
5 Hours later, enter the AAA guy, with his giant flat bed. He hooked my car up to his super-battery and it started right up.
Moral: Never let drunk people tell you
what's wrong with your car, even if it does make crazy video game spaceship noises.

Hey everyone! ghck!
Ahh, beautiful Los Angeles, California...palm trees,
70 degrees, movie stars, fancy cars...I'm supposed to sit here and say it's not a big deal that I ran into people like Elvis
Costello, B-Real from Cypress Hill, Matt Dillon's brother, Kevin Dillon, from that new HBO show "Entourage"(which kicks
ass, by the way...Jeremy Pivon is awesome). Johnny Knoxville and Steve-O. Ok, I know they're just entertainers like myself,
but get real, you'd think it was sweet too..."Allison", "Insane in the Brain", "Jackass", Kevin Dillon was in 'Platoon', he
played John Densemore in 'The Doors', he had the leading role in 'The Blob', for god's sake!
TV didn't candy coat a thing about L.A., it's just
like 'Lethal Weapon' meets 'Baywatch', meets The Beverly Hillbillies, 90210, Fresh Prince all in one! Forget the smog,
forget the undrinkable tap water, and the aspiring daytime TV actresses...
I've come to realize that L.A. is the loudest place
I've ever been, there is no peace. I mean, I was at the beach last week, only to see a small plane circle overhead to advertise
the release of William Hung's new CD. The ghetto bird is always out-(I need to work on being more politically correct, my
apologies)...the police chopper is always out and about. I think LA drivers lay on their horns more than their gas pedal.
Car alarms everywhere, DOGFIGHTS!
Is it a law for everyone in L.A. to have dogs? It's
like everyone needs to have more than one. I saw someone the other day that looked like she was walking 3 rats. Then a man
that looked like he was walking two bears, honestly these dogs were straight out of the 'Sandlot' movie. Then, of course
there is the owner that somehow believes that his pit-bull is way too obedient for a leash, the next thing you know, someone
loses a hand, hopefully nothing more...I've seen it people!
I love L.A., I would definitely recommend coming out
!sometime...
